Fleurieu Health & Wellbeing Precinct
The precinct is the final stage of our national award winning environmentally sustainable Beyond Development, it will be an exemplar for future health developments.
It continues the design ethos of building facility that is sympathetic to, and embedded in, a restorative natural environment surrounded by over 350,000 native trees in the estate’s 64ha of reserves and wetlands.
Designed by Troppo Architects, the precinct aims to ensure:
1. Solutions for infection control are embedded in the design.
2. Improved patient and practitioner experience.
3. A calm engaging space to work, and heal by embedding buildings in nature. Visitors and staff will journey through a calming natural landscape to arrive at their destination and look out at that landscape from within each facility.
4. The precinct will be complimented by services for patients and practitioners including the existing $22M Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, gym, hydrotherapy pool, and bike path, childcare services, food and beverage services, lake gardens, art gallery and function space, ample parking.
The precinct is designed to be an inspiring place to work, to heal, to learn, to connect.
